PCT Celebrates 1 Year Bringing Science Backed Info on Safe Cosmetics to You
It’s hard to believe that one year has already passed since Lisa and I launched Personal Care Truth last May 2010! We are absolutely thrilled that the public has responded so positively and taken great interest in learning about the current science backed truth behind the personal care industry and what is in the cosmetic products we use daily.

I first learned about soap making back in 3rd grade on an elementary school field trip to Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge, MA. I still have vivid memory of a woman in an apron and bonnet stirring a large black pot of oils over an open flame, then showing us rough cut, eggshell hued bars and teaching us the process behind how soap was made.

Lisa and I feel very strongly that consumers deserve science backed evidence so they can make informed. While some of the information may not fall exactly in line our personal companies, we believe in presenting all of the information so that you may chose personal care products and cosmetics that fit your lifestyle and you feel comfortable putting on your skin.
phthalates: are they safe?
Phthalates are a hot topic in the personal care and many other industries. 60 Minutes ran a great segment last Sunday on the phthalates. Phthalates are found all around us: food, tap water, the air we breathe, plastics, household goods and many other products. They make fragrances linger longer
A Note on our Links
Hey there,
Lisa and I have been responding to multiple people who have left feedback and contacted us through social media requesting we link to their site. We’ve had to respectfully decline many, as we’ve been contacted by natural bath & body companies who want us to list that “We Like” their company. While we do like many of you all, you may notice, Lisa and I have not even listed Cactus and Ivy or The Grapeseed Co. (our own natural bath & body companies) under “We Like”! We did this for a reason…
