About Kristin

Kristin Fraser Cotte is the founder of The Grapeseed Company ~ botanical beauty from wine. Kristin has studied plant derived ingredients around the globe and formulating natural spa & personal care products for over a decade. The spark behind The Grapeseed Co. began when Kristin returned to a landlubber’s life after a two-year adventure sailing a 30-foot sloop from Boston to the Caribbean. Living off solar and wind power, Kristin and her husband learned to eat off the land by spearfishing, conch diving and gained a deeper respect for treading lightly on our planet. In her travels, Kristin discovered the benefits of local, natural oils and plants being used by local islanders making soap and cosmetics. After creating and testing formulas in her new hometown, Santa Barbara, California, Kristin launched a line of bath & body products centered on a local wine industry byproduct, the grape seed. Grape seeds are naturally rich in potent antioxidants, and commonly discarded by winemakers after crushing grapes. Since 2004 The Grapeseed Company has been creating premium eco-friendly skin & personal care from locally grown, certified organic and natural ingredients. The Grapeseed Co. also produces a line for keeping your fuzzy buddies clean, green and sweet smelling, Dirty Dog Organics.
